At 14.00 hrs depart Arusha for Lake Manyara arriving at the lodge in the early evening.  The lodges are situated on the Mto Wa Mbu escarpment, overlooking the Great Rift Valley and the soda Lake Manyara.

Day 2. Manyara – Ngorongoro

After an early breakfast tour Lake Manyara National Park.  This park is famous for it’s tree climbing lions and vast flocks of flamingoes.  During the mid morning proceed to Ngorongoro Crater arriving in time for lunch.  After lunch descend into the Crater for a half day crater tour.  In the crater, which is considered the “Eighth wonder of the world:” you can see a spectacular concentration of wildlife including the big five.  The crater has a variety of habitats including grassland, forest and swamp.  The lake on the crater floor, is home to flamingoes and many other species of birds.  Return to the lodge in the evening.

Day 3. Ngorongoro – Arusha

After breakfast depart via Mto-wa-Mbu for Arusha arriving in time for lunch.
