Day 1. Tarangire

At 14.00 hrs depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park arriving in the early evening.

Overnight at a lodge in Tarangire

Meaals: Dinner only

Day 2. Tarangire – Ngorongoro

Early breakfast and then proceed on a game drive in Tarangire National Park.  This park is famous for its dense wildlife population, which is most spectacular between June and December.  After a picnic lunch in Tarangire proceed to Ngorongoro arriving in the early evening.

Day 3. Ngorongoro

After breakfast at the lodge proceed on a half-day crater tour with picnic lunch.  In the crater, which is considered the “Eighth wonder of the world” you can see a spectacular concentration of wildlife including the big five.  The crater has a variety of habitats including grassland, forest and swamp.  The lake on the crater floor is home to flamingoes and many other species of birds.  Return to the lodge in the early evening.

Day 4. Ngorongoro – Serengeti

After breakfast depart for Ngorongoro Crater, via Olduvai Gorge, site of archaeological findings, where traces of pre-historic people dating back to 3.5 million years have been discovered.  Picnic lunch en route to the Serengeti National Park which is arrived in the early evening.

Day 5. Serengeti

After breakfast proceed on a morning game drive returning to the lodge for lunch.  In the afternoon another game drive can be taken to explore this world famous park.  The park is famous for large concentration of plains game such as zebra, wildebeest and gazelle.

Day 6. Serengeti – Manyara

After breakfast depart for Lake Manyara which is arrived in time for late lunch. lodges are situated on the Mto-wa-Mbu escarpment, overlooking the Great Rift Valley and the soda Lake Manyara. Tour Lake Manyara National Park which is famous for it’s tree climbing lions and vast flocks of flamingoes.

Day 7. Manyara – Arusha

After breakfast, depart for Arusha which is arrived in time for lunch.

Included features:

  • Pick up/drop off in your Nairobi Hotel
  • Accommodation as described (or similar), based on double occupancy
  • Meals as described by Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • 02 litters bottled mineral water per person per day whilst on safari
