Day 1. Nairobi

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, meet and transfer to your Nairobi Hotel

Overnight at a Nairobi Hotel

Day 2. Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

Depart Nairobi a6t 7.00 am and drive north to Samburu on the south bank of the Uaso Nyiro River, downriver from Archer’s Post. North of the Equator some of the animals and vegetation are a little different from those commonly found south. Elephant, black rhino, lion, buffalo and cheetah and the usual buck and antelopes are common to both north and south of the equator. However, unfamiliar animals are the Grevy’s zebra, the reticulated giraffe and the Somali ostrich. There is also the long neck gerenuk, beisa, and hunting dog.  Crocodiles in the river can be seen from the lodge. The vegetation is usually dry grass with a few swampy patches. There is some forest cover along the Uaso Nyiro River and an abundance of doum palms.

Day 3. Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast a full day of game viewing and exploration in this harshly beautiful terrain where wildlife abound especially near the river which is their only source of drinking water. The Uaso Nyiro River flows gently through the dry landscape sustaining life in this harsh land. Shaba National Reserve is where the famous conservationist George Adamson did his research on lions.

Day 04. Samburu – Lake Nakuru

After breakfast at the lodge depart for Lake Nakuru. After a short drive, descend into the Great Rift Valley where the lake Nakuru is located. Visit the world famous bird sanctuary in the lake Nakuru national park, noted for its huge concentration of flamingoes. After lunch in the park, embark on a late afternoon game drive.

Day 05. Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, you will have the whole day to explore the park

Day 6. Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara

Leave the beautiful lake to drive across the lunar landscape of the Great Rift Valley to reach Kenya’s best-known game reserve ­the Masai Mara in time for lunch. In the afternoon explore the rolling hills and plains for a wonderful sight of the great numbers of different species of animals found here.

Day 07. Masai Mara

Morning and afternoon game drives will be conducted in the park. In the afternoon, you have an option of relaxing by the poolside instead of doing the game drive.

Day 08. Masai Mara – Lake Victoria

You will depart with picnic boxes after breakfast. Drive to the Isebania border where you will meet with the Tanzania driver and after some brief border formalities, you will proceed on safari. Lunch will be en route.

Day 09. Lake Victoria – Serengeti

After breakfast in the lodge depart for Serengeti arriving in time for lunch. Game drive will be conducted on your way to the lodge. Embark on the afternoon game drive.

Day 10. Serengeti

After breakfast proceed on a morning game drive returning to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, another game drive can be taken to explore this park famous for large concentrations of plains game such as zebra, wildebeest and gazelle.

Day 11. Serengeti – Ngorongoro

After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro crater via Olduvai Gorge site of archaeological findings, where traces of pre­historic people dating back to 3.5 million years have been discovered. Picnic lunch will be eaten at Olduvai Gorge. Continue to Ngorongoro and arrive in the evening.

Day 12. Ngorongoro

After breakfast at the lodge, proceed on a half-day crater Tour. In the crater you can see a spectacular array of wildlife including the big five. The crater has a variety of ecosystem including grassland forest and swamp. The lake on the crater floor is home to

Flamingoes and many other species of birds. The rest of the day at leisure.

Day 13. Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara where you arrive in time for lunch. All the lodges are situated on Mto WA Mbu escarpment, overlooking the Great Rift Valley and a good variety of big game.

Day 14. Lake Manyara – Arusha

After breakfast drive back to Arusha where you will have lunch.

  • 02 litters bottled mineral water per person per day whilst on safari
